Sheryl Hamilton - The Family Jools

Jewelry crafting is a relatively new pursuit of mine, although I've always loved jewelry and loved to make things.   Inspired by 2 great collage artists B'Sue Lansdowne and Wendy Gell, I started making collage cuff bracelets and now use the same techniques to create brooches, earrings and necklaces.  In some cases, I incorporate pieces of vintage jewelry into my designs, while other pieces are created from an assortment of new and vintage stones, findings and filigree.  Early Czechoslovakian jewelry is probably my favorite 'era' and that influence is reflected in many of my original designs.

I work from my home in Calgary, Alberta Canada, making jewelry and managing my website, The Family Jools where I offer both my own original creations as well as several vintage jewelry items and fashion accessories.   My vintage jewelry was recently featured in an article for InStyle Magazine, and my original designs were showcased in Glittering Times newsletter.
