Carol Johnston

"Following the Dream"

"Since 1984, living in Chicago, I've enjoyed buying, selling and restoring vintage costume jewelry. It didn't take long to discover I really enjoyed the designing and construction even more.

"As I moved from Chicago to New England to Ohio, a dream emerged. I wanted to live in the "north woods" and spend full-time at my craft. I'm here. in the "north woods", and following the dream...."

Carol's experience in the "art" world started in the mid-70's designing stage scenery. She spent 3 years studying drawing and painting at "The College of DuPage" (Glen Ellyn, IL). She opened her own graphic arts studio in the Chicago area, and won several local awards for her photography as she became known for her graphic arts and photography. This eventually had to be given up to devote full-time to one customer in the industrial design field. Upon moving to New England she opened a costume jewelry store, "Your Reflections". By this time her custom designs had been shipped to countries around the world.

Since going "on-line" in April, 1997, Carol has designed and opened her own web site where she offers for sale a variety of costume jewelry and her own designs and some of her early watercolors. Come visit Gallery CaroJ~! Note: It's under "re- construction" at the moment. Carol always strives to improve, not only her designs but her website, too.
