Janice Kostura

I have been interested in arts and crafts since I was a child. My inspiration has always been my mother. Growing up with a mother who was an interior decorator/antique dealer provided me with many great experiences.

I have worked at a number of jobs during my life. I was in the military and I taught emotionally disturbed children for a while. I just never felt content with any of my jobs. In 1996 I started selling vintage costume jewelry. I began buying rhinestones and other components to repair some of the jewelry. My obsession for buying vintage jewelry components turned into a business. I now sell rhinestones, settings, beads, filigrees and other components on my site Jan's Jewels and More!

The repairs were fun but, that wasn't enough for me I started designing my own jewelry. Most of the jewelry that I design is made of vintage components. with a little bit of new mixed in. I love old Czech and West German pieces and have found that I enjoy making similar designs. My designs can be found in some local boutiques as well as on my site at Jan's Jewels and More.

It took many years but, I finally found my calling!!!!!
