Bev Luther

Got started in the Bead Stringing business back in about 1967 or so when a friend had a huge crush on George Harrison who was hanging out at the Camden Passage Flea Market in London.

We visited, saw a vacant booth, rented it (our first time ever at a "flea market" ) and did not know what to sell -- so we grabbed up lots of broken and old beaded jewelry and made up lots of the then popular "hippie beads," and sold them. Later upgraded into great antiques and greater jewelry -- but found that bead stringing was not only very relaxing but also quite lucrative. Love working with old glass, beautiful stones and fabulous old ethnic beads.

Most of my designs, except for my pearls (for which I have a great passion!) tend to be very casual, to wear with suits, jeans, casual dresses, whatever. Once in a while I come up with some great crystal that needs to be dressy! Anyway - if you visit my site and see something you like that is marked "sold", contact me and maybe I can make something similar - I try not to duplicate any design. By the way, visit my "Discount" page for wholesale information!
