Gretta Van Someren

I've always been interested in the arts. From the age of five I can recall practicing the piano for recitals and contests. Growing up in a gifted family both musically and artistically, I remember spending many Saturdays at museums viewing the artwork of new and acclaimed artists and attending many musicals, dance recitals and other productions at every opportunity we had. I learned to appreciate fine art from many aspects, not just for its color or design, but to view a piece of work from the artist's point of view and to search for the heart and soul within.

I later earned a bachelors degree in music and started my first "artistic" career as a professional pianist and choral music educator. A few years following, my induction to motherhood took place of my full time music career, however allowed me the time to unlock doors to several creative passions I'd yet pursued. The art of designing jewelry became and remained the greatest of these passions which has since become my full time career.

Each piece I create is one of a kind and designed from the heart. My goal is to allow others the opportunity to find a piece most befitting to them -- a piece that expresses and reflects their unique personality, respective mood and/or liberated tastes.

Today my pieces are sold throughout several retail stores in Wisconsin, my home studio and from my web site, www.pizzazzcreations.com
