Founded in 1999, The International Jewelry Designers' Guild is an online community/support group for artists and artisans creating jewelry of all types.
| How do I qualify to be a member? | Membership is open to those who:
- make handmade artisan jewelry (with some flexibility on the definition of jewelry)
- have a deep and abiding interest in making jewelry
| | How do I join? | Join the guild by subscribing to the IJDG's Members group, "Joolcrafting". This Yahoo group is used as our mailing list for all members if the IJDG & you MUST be a member of Joolcrafting to become a member of the IJDG.
You must fill out the application that is emailed to you and email it back to the address provided within 14 days. It will then be reviewed by the IJDG's owner and management team for membership consideration.
| | How much does it cost? | Membership is free at this time. | | What are the benefits? | Members are entitled to:
- participate in the online community via the mailing list
- have a link on the Member sites page
- have a page in the Bios section
- be a member of the International Jewelry Designers' Guild Webring.
- put a logo or banner or text link on their online sites or online auctions that states they are a member of the "International Jewelry Designers' Guild."
- Access to sales and special pricing as offered by participating suppliers
- Participate in annual contests & shows as they are offered.
| | Can I market to this group? | Yes, within reason. Suppliers may make announcements or market directly to the list, or respond publicly and/or private to WTB (want to buy) or offer solutions to presented problems.
Marketing that becomes excessive will be curtailed.
| | What is the volume of mail on the mailing list? | About 35-50 messages per week. | | | More help on the list "commands" here. |
